Privacy policy
Aeriale (aeriale-game.com) is a free geography game. This page explains what personal data is processed when you play, why, who receives it and what your rights are, as required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Italian privacy law (D.Lgs. 196/2003).
In short: there are no accounts, your game progress stays in your own browser, and we don't sell data. Some technical data (mainly your IP address) necessarily reaches the services that host the site and serve the satellite images.
Who is responsible
Aeriale is run by Pietro Bianchi and Tommaso Galizzi (Italy), who are joint data controllers (GDPR art. 26). Contact: [email protected]. Use this address for any privacy question or request; it reaches both of us, and you can exercise your rights towards either of us.

Cookies and local storage
Aeriale sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only for things needed to provide the game: your progress and settings, the daily suggestion count, and the map software's map-load identifier, which Mapbox uses to count usage of the service. These are technical, so under Italian rules (art. 122 Codice privacy and the Garante's cookie guidelines) they don't require consent.
The game checks, inside your browser, whether an ad blocker is hiding parts of the page. This check sends nothing anywhere.
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies at the moment. If we add advertising or analytics in the future, they will only run after you agree through a consent banner, and this page will be updated first.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare, Mapbox and Google are based in the United States. Transfers to them rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses included in their data processing terms.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (GDPR art. 15–22). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to the contact address above. Most game data lives only in your browser: you can erase it yourself by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority in your own EU country.
Children
Aeriale is suitable for all ages and collects no account data. Players under 14 (the age of digital consent in Italy) should not send their email address in the suggestions form without a parent's permission.
